What's New? - Design Trends Spring 2012

Spring Design Trends – With the more informal style of home decor and the trends of metallic and texture in textiles growing stronger, Antex Designs is pleased to have recently launched some fabulous fabrics to highlight this current trend. Some of the drapery fabrics being presented in our collections are designed to produce a softer, casual hanging drape. Billowing organza, voluminous crinkles, strong horizontal textures and flocked fabrics, create a flared-look that is more contemporary and relaxed.

Stationary panels with 2 or 3-finger pleats, grommet tops, shirred or tunnel tops with hem styles that puddle slightly on the floor are the best treatments for these fabrics. Metallics that have been featured in furniture and home decor accessories for a while, have now made their way into mainstream fabrics. Soft, luster with 'sheen' instead of shine is the statement for 2012.

A Sensational Event - 25 yr Anniversary -
April 2011

Wilma Kulyk of Sensational Seams hosted a splendid day at her Home/Studio in Newcastle. Captivating guest speaker, Sharon Moonlight of Hunter Douglas, spoke about incredible window coverings and current colour trends. The event featured the home & work studio of Interior Decorator, Wilma Kulyk, the Spring Kitchen Decor Line from Newcastle Home Decor, a selection of the latest Fabric & Window Covering Hardware from Soletex Fabrics, with all this complimented by the contemporary piano music of Kasia Kulyk. Tea Grannys & Friends served tea and treats in the Victorian Parlour while Jackie from The Castle Cellar spoke to the benefits of making your own wine!
