“Is your home ready for the holidays?”

“Seams to me” that Christmas is just around the corner. When you begin to think about the festivities ahead, are there plans for relatives and friends coming to your home to share in the season of giving? Is your home ready to entertain and have guests stay? Call NOW to place your window treatment and interior design orders for Christmas delivery.
Now is the time to think about updating your window treatments, wall colours and interior décor in your home, or that guest room. Need help with this? Lost for new ideas? Well, I’ve got a great idea!! How about going to a Holiday House Tour? It’s fun, it’s a peak into someone else’s home, professionally designed and decorated for Christmas. This year’s event takes place on November 6 & 7, and one of the homes that Bonnie (of Bethany Hills Interiors) and I have been working on, is going to be featured on this tour. This is a great way for you to meet Bonnie.
I’m excited to have a contest to give away two free tickets to the Saturday, November 6 event. Please send Donna a quick email with your name and phone number on it, and tell your friends and relatives to do the same (one entry per person). Inspirational!

Have you ever been inspired by someone to be the best that you can be? Has anyone ever encouraged you to step out and strive to provide the best that you could possibly offer?
That’s exactly what Sharon Moonlight
has done for me. She encouraged me to step out of my shy personality and become the confident person I am today. I came to know Sharon at the very beginning of my business. She was a fantastic HunterDouglas sales rep, and now speaks all across Canada. It was a great delight for Bonnie and I to attend her “Beyond Effective Selling” seminar in Brampton in October. Brighten Your Room
Not everyone has the luxury of having big windows that let in lots of sunlight. Many apartments and houses have at least one room that is continually dark. A dark room can cause accidents, eye-strain, and even a sour disposition.

If you’d like to add more light to your room – without taking a sledgehammer to your walls, try choosing reflective surfaces. Just like walls, other large surfaces can absorb or reflect your light. Opt for glossy countertops, add glass panes to your hanging artwork, and place mirrored trays on top of dark tables.

ROOM OF THE MONTH

The Hardy’s wanted a fresh drapery fashion for their newly replaced window in their dining room. The double hung window on their century home overlooked the garden so the view was very important to them. Wilma of Sensational Seams placed Hunter Douglas Silhouettes on the window and then topped it with an ivory, linen textured, faux silk, box pleated valance. The valance’s center cascade aligns with the center post giving balance and structure to the window. This attention to detail creates that, sensational look that Sensational Seams can provide for your home!
